Choosing between them

Mutual funds are the starting point for almost everyone: diversified, professionally managed, and available from ₹500 a month. Equity funds for goals more than five years away, debt funds for the next one to three years, hybrid funds in between.

Bonds suit investors who want a known coupon and a known maturity date. They sit between fixed deposits and equity on the risk scale, and their price moves with interest rates if you sell early.

Fixed deposits are for money you cannot afford to see fall, within the DICGC insurance limit of ₹5 lakh per depositor per bank.

Stock baskets are for the equity you want to hold directly, with a research-led theme and periodic rebalancing. They are concentrated and volatile; keep them to a slice of a portfolio, not the core.

What 'Coming soon' means

We are an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor today. Bonds, deposits and baskets will be offered through the appropriate regulated intermediaries and will carry their own disclosures. Leave your email on the Get started page and we will tell you when each goes live.
